Creating a New Event

To create a new event within a group:

  1. Click “New Event” at the top of the page.
  2. Input the name of the event, location that the event will occur, which organization the event is hosted by, and a description of the job students will have to complete for the service event.
  3. For pre-filled logs, select “Yes” if you want log data to be automatically filled in with the same information each time a student submits their log for the event

    • Select the day or days on the calendar that the event will occur or manually input the date
    • Enter the number of hours of service students will receive for the event. Leave the space blank if students should manually input hours completed
  4. For pre-filled logs, select “No” if you do not want log data to be automatically filled in for students

    • Select the day on the calendar that the event will occur or manually input the date
    • Input time of service event
    • Click “Change To Range of Dates” if the event will occur over a span of more than one day. Input start and end dates of the event
  5. For event registration, select “Yes” if the event requires students to register for the event. Select “No” if the event does not require students to register for the event.
  6. Click “Create”
